The 2017 Leicestershire Road Running League kicked off with the Kibworth 6 today. 22 Wreakies took on the sub-zero temperatures, freezing wind, and hilly route. Some great running by all, Matt F was first back (37:44), Dave R next in (38:24), closely followed by Luke S (38:59), Bruno N was very close behind (39:07), Andy C in his first race as a Wreake Runner clocked in next (40:20), somehow Scott B just pipped Gavin S (40:31 & 40:40). Rhiannon B was first lady back (41:18), Richard B was inches behind (41:21), Phil W followed close (41:39). David J is recovering well from injury (43:39), and Chairman GT a couple of minutes further along (45:36), followed by Captain Anne T (46:47). Some great running from recently new member Ashley Holt (46:54), birthday girl Liz C was next (46:56), Anthony B and Lloyd L were close together (47:21 & 47:33), Cassie S was next (51:49), then Lyndsey W (52:25), followed by Abigail A (55:29), and completed with Jane C with 56mins exactly. Well done all for super efforts on a challenging winter’s day!
