ROUND LEICESTER RELAY 2010

Please see below the Wreake men’s A and B teams for this year’s Round Leicester Relay together with a reminder of each leg and the times by which runners need to be ready to go. The latter is based upon the fastest times likely for each leg so it is possible that you may have to hang around. However, that is better than not being there for the changeover! We have beaten restarts in the past so please bear this is mind if you are on these legs.
If you want to swap your leg with somebody else please go ahead and do so but let me know as well so that I have the right list when I declare the teams. If you have any other problems please let me know as soon as possible. If you have to drop out for any reason do your best to find a replacement.
Make sure you know your route. All the information and maps are on the Round Leicester Relay website. The changes around the Gaddesby area from last year’s relay remain in place this year. Runners who are on the relevant routes (B and C I think) need to be aware of this.

Leg B. Ratcliffe to Ashby Folville. Be ready to run by 8.55am
Leg C. Ashby to Somerby. Be ready to run by 9.35am
Leg D. Somerby to Loddington. Be ready to run by 10.10am. RESTART 10.30am
Leg E. Loddington to Slawston. Be ready to run by 10.45am.
Leg F. Slawston to Foxton. Be ready to run by 11.25am
Leg G. Foxton to Bruntingthorpe. Be ready to run by 12.05pm.
Leg H. Bruntingthorpe to Frolesworth. Be ready to run by 12.45pm. RESTART 1.15pm
Leg I. Frolesworth to Burbage Common. Be ready to run by 1.25pm
Leg J. Burbage to Bosworth. Be ready to run by 2.10pm
Leg K. Bosworth to Markfield. Be ready to run by 3pm. RESTART 3.30pm

EAST MIDLANDS DEVELOPMENT COACH OF THE YEAR

In recognition of her extremely successful development of the beginners group and her continued work progressing the group and integrating them into the club Jen has been awarded this accolade and will also be going through to represent the region at the England awards. Nominated by Maria, Jen richly deserves the award and the awards committee noted that if there were more initiatives like the one provided by her, the governing body would not have to provide programmes to encourage people into the sport!

And it’s official! After the club as a whole winning the East Midlands club of the year last year, the Junior section have been voted the EAST MIDLANDS JUNIOR CLUB OF THE YEAR.
