Treasure Hunt – Friday June 24th, 2016

This year’s Treasure Hunt was a walk round some of the older parts of Syston, starting and finishing at the Queen Vic pub in High St.

22 people took part, with some couples pairing up with each other and making 6 teams. We provided them with sheets of cryptic clues for them to solve along the described route.

The first team got away at 6:30 and all teams managed to get back by 8:20, in time for the food at 8:30. We were fortunate enough to have no rain, and in fact were able to sit outside afterwards.

Lyn & I marked the answer sheets and the winners were . . . (with suitable drum roll effects supplied)

Helen Morris, Jane Brunskill, Lyndsey and Phill Wilson
and in second place
Lloyd and daughter Ashleigh with Scott and Shelley
–  quite an achievement really as none of them had done one of our treasure hunts before and had no idea as to what was entailed.

Andrew and Gill Roberts came third – good going since they did this on their own.

Thanks to all who took part and made it an enjoyable evening once again.
