Four of our runners took on the Worksop Halloween Half Marathon on 30th October. The organisers called for fancy dress, and we delivered! The course runs largely through Clumber Park, which provides beautiful scenery and is perfect for spectators to support their family and friends along the route (thanks Hillier clan for race support).
A well organised event with over 2400 runners it’s very much an undulating, scenic route through the autumn leafy parkland and woods. Much hillier and tougher than we all expected!
Matt ‘Frankenstein’ Franklin was first back (45th) in 1hr 23, next was Gavin ‘Spooky’ Speed (206th) 1hr 31m, then Ian ‘Herman’ Hillier (272th), 1hr 33m, and Scotty ‘Boney’ Beasley (346th) 1hr 36m.
