Get in touch

Have a query, suggestion for event or want to promote something?
The best way to get in touch with us is through our facebook messenger or by emailing run@wreakerunners.co.uk

Wreake Runners relies on the help and support of our members to thrive. Our training, events and other activities wouldn’t be possible without the help of our volunteers. There are many ways you can get involved and we encourage all members to offer a little time to help maintain the club. Whether its coaching, leading and organising runs or social events, organisational or PR skills, event ideas or baking there is a role for you!

The committee

The club’s committee are responsible for the administration and strategic direction of the club and are crucial to keep the club running. Volunteering in a committee role helps to ensure that members receive the best possible experiences. In order for the committee to be successful, it consists of people with enthusiasm, skills and experience. For example, an accounting background is useful for the role of treasurer. But sometimes all you need are willing and committed people! New committee members are typically elected/re-elected at our Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The committee meet every 6-8 weeks to discuss and distribute actions. Dependant on the role, additional tasks such as processing memberships, liaising with other organisations, booking venues and updating accounts are required. We welcome nominations from all members who are interested to stand in advance of our AGM. To stand for nominations, please let us know, we would love to have you on the team!

Other volunteer roles

We are always grateful for any help our members can provide. This includes:
Storage of club kit
PR and marketing / socials
Event set up/down and marshalling
Supply and serving of food and drinks at events
Helping with charity events/donation of raffle prizes

If you have any other ideas how you can get involved, please let us know. Or for more detail on any of these roles, please contact one of the committee members or email run@wreakerunners.co.uk
