ROTHERBY 8

Wreake Runners & Team Anstey 8 mile road race

Previously known as the Gaddesby 7, the route was redeveloped as Rotherby 8 and jointly hosted by Wreake Runners and Team Anstey, with Tim Pattison as Race Director supported by members from both clubs. The race is the ninth out of ten in the LRRL series of road races for 2024, the date for this year has been confirmed as September 1st.

The 8 mile course begins and ends at Rotherby Lodge Farm. Runners head out along the country lane through Gaddesby village and towards Ashby Folville, turning up the road to conquer the “small” hill, then back towards Gaddesby and down to the farm for the finish.
It will test the legs and lungs but will reward with the beautiful countryside.

Toilets and refreshments at the start/finish and water available on the route. Prizes available, details TBC.
Parking is available at Rotherby Lodge Farm the start it, LE14 2LL (please note this covers a couple of farms, but the entrance will be marked with club flags). Or what3words ///visits.neatly.candle.

Access to the race start/finish field is from Gaddesby Lane, with exit from the site via a track direct onto the A607. As Gaddesby Lane/Rotherby Lane will be closed for the first 2 miles of the race, all runners are requested to arrive at the site 30mins before the start to avoid the risk of being unable to start the race.

No headphones of any type are be permitted on the course.
