I was worried the race might be cancelled due to the recent fun by mother nature, but fortunately the sun was shining at a glorious +8 degrees! The start line had 1400 runners, ready to take on some challenging hills…*note to self – more hill training required*! The facilities were ok, but not enough toilets, so the line was long. The course went around the stunning park and some roads, which were closed to traffic. As it is a one loop race, each hill was only done once. The marshals and public were supportive throughout, which kept me going! The last half was into a head wind, which challenged everyone, and left me with a less than good hair day! I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely do it next year, and highly recommend it to everyone!
