The cross country season is back! The off-road running race series started on 30th October at Holly Hayes.
Our XC captain Mark Jelley reports…
“Thanks to all who attended this first race of the year/season. To say the course lent itself to a satisfactory one for everyone with such narrow tracks and bottlenecks and queues in abundance. Anyway moan over as there was in excess of 600 runners! Our First Lady home and in first position was Anne Holyland, followed in 8th place Rhiannon, Liz Collo in 67th, Julie Dutton in 101, Fi in 133, Jenni in 148, Jane 170 & Karen 249. Bruno was our first man home in 27th followed by Luke in his first X/c in 68th (gosh), Luke Smith in 105, Richard Bettsworth in 127, Jimmbo in 128, Tom Parker 211, Gareth 244, Me 247, Dave Jacko 250, Ash Holt 278, Andy Peel 303 & Rich Palmer 306. From your captain I thank you (that’s me?) personally I love these events and today has been another one of those special days in my life, thank you all for sharing it with me.”
