It’s once again, nearly time for the Leicester marathon and the organisers have approached Wreake Runners to see if we could help by providing some marshals whilst the runners pass through our area, covering the 6 – 19 mile section of the race. In excess of 50 Marshals need to be found just for this section !
If you or a partner/family member are willing to marshal on Sunday Oct 26th in either Syston, Barkby, Queniborough or East Goscote on that morning, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

A pre-race meeting on the morning in either Queniborough or at the Gate Hangs Well pub car park will provide you with a Hi-Viz jacket and instructions / timings for your marshal point, together with estimated times you would be needed for. YOU SHOULD ALSO GET A FREE T SHIRT !
This is only once a year and would maintain the good record our club has in supporting this popular event, so please help if you can.
